José Maria Ramos in the 4thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fabiano Vieira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bernardinho Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Tinoco having to interfere. In the 12th match minute, Real Cruz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fernando Arce to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 16th minute by José Maria Ramos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Simão Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Juninho Castro's late challenge caught a Petróleo EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juninho Castro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Juninho Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabiano Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Corrêa in the 32nd minute of play. José Maria Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Vieira having to interfere. When Bernardinho Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Cruz's protests and gave Bernardinho Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Petróleo EC booed when Real Cruz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardinho Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Freitas's late challenge caught a Real Cruz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Freitas helped the player get up and apologised. Cristian Carioca hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardinho Amaral made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Bernardinho Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 59 played minutes Real Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Bernardinho Amaral. After 62 played minutes, Petróleo EC's Roger Proença shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabiano Vieira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Petróleo EC reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Maria Ramos in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabiano Vieira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 67 minutes into the game, Dida Koehler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Petróleo EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Cruz the free kick. Dida Koehler hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Bernardinho Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Carioca's late challenge caught a Real Cruz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristian Carioca helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Real Cruz booed when Petróleo EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Carioca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juninho Tinoco made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Bernardinho Amaral sent off a good shot on target. Fabiano Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Carioca took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fabiano Vieira. Real Cruz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Maria Ramos in the 93rd minute of play forced Real Cruz's goalkeeper Fabiano Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristóvão Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Real Cruz players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Petróleo EC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
