Jacuecanga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nico Reis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luís Fabiano Castro took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henrique Donatello. Henrique Donatello dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Henrique Donatello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laerte Schmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25th play minute Luís Fabiano Castro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Henrique Donatello. 2-0. Henrique Donatello was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jorginho Marques. 33 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS's goal looked a bit too open when Nico Reis came free, but Henrique Donatello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of PALMEIRAS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jacuecanga FC:s goal. PALMEIRAS:s Henrique Donatello showed great skill when he stopped Alex Fernandes:s penalty. After 37 minutes of play, Jacuecanga FC's Alex Fernandes made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henrique Donatello was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 42nd minute, Miguel Recife hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nico Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Fabiano Castro scored 4-0 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrique Donatello, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nico Reis to make the kick off. Laerte Schmidt's late challenge caught a PALMEIRAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laerte Schmidt helped the player get up and apologised. Laerte Schmidt hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Alessandro de Barros sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Jacuecanga FC's Rodolfo Mattos didn't even have to move. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Miguel Recife managed to get in a good position for a shot. PALMEIRAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Recife was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Mattos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Percy Linares charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Percy Linares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd match minute, PALMEIRAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percy Linares to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Nico Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot. After a defensive mix-up in PALMEIRAS's zone, Luís Fabiano Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrique Donatello came out of the goal and Luís Fabiano Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
