Spectators: 7253 (Terracing: 5441, Seating: 1668, VIP seats: 144) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Simão Donato got the match started through his kick off. After some careless play in the Cheetara FC defense, Oswaldo Alves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilvan Dracena. The Cheetara FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilvan Dracena should have stopped the shot. Economia E.C.'s Wellington Brodel got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gilvan Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wellington Brodel in the 11th minute of the match. Wellington Brodel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilvan Dracena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. If Wellington Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oswaldo Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Gilvan Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Simão Donato in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomás Goiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Simão Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horácio Nascimento's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Tomás Goiano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tomás Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simão Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Economia E.C. getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Edgard Arce hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Cheetara FC's Simão Donato slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tomás Goiano. That made the score 1-1 after 39 minutes of play. Gilvan Dracena came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Economia E.C.'s Edgard Arce. But to his dismay, Edgard Arce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Oswaldo Alves took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilvan Dracena. Gilvan Dracena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Edgard Arce hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, Economia E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Simão Donato came free, but Tomás Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 60 minutes, Simão Donato managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cheetara FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simão Donato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wellington Brodel in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilvan Dracena saved Cheetara FC from getting behind. Tião Chaves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Horácio Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cheetara FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Horácio Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Goiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tião Chaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simão Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Horácio Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Goiano having to interfere. In the 90th minute there was a penalty for Cheetara FC. Hermínio Vaz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tomás Goiano. 2-3. Economia E.C.'s Tomás Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Nascimento in the 93rd minute of play. Tomás Goiano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Simão Donato went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
