Fred Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Durval Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Goiano in the 13th minute of play. Simão Goiano took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Durval Pirani. Durval Pirani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Luiz Paulo Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Travassos having to interfere. André Luiz Melo's late challenge caught a União Esperança - standby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Luiz Melo helped the player get up and apologised. After 24 played minutes Super Mario ECR got a freekick which was hit by André Luiz Melo. In the 32nd minute Manoel de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Pirani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breno Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falcão Pirani in the 34th minute of play. Durval Pirani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manoel de Andrade went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 45 minutes, Juninho Montenegro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the União Esperança - standby and the Super Mario ECR players grew even worse after the yellow card. 44 minutes into the game, one of União Esperança - standby:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Super Mario ECR. Egídio Eger stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Durval Pirani. 0-3. The União Esperança - standby players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Super Mario ECR were winning 0-3.

After 64 minutes of play, União Esperança - standby's Falcão Pirani made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Breno Travassos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Breno Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Falcão Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 72nd match minute, Super Mario ECR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egídio Eger to maneuver through the defense. After 74 played minutes, União Esperança - standby's Geovanni França shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Breno Travassos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in União Esperança - standby reached it. Luiz Paulo Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oséias Breckenfeld hit a great ball. Super Mario ECR's Manoel de Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simão Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Pirani having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Simão Goiano took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Durval Pirani to make any attempt to save it. The Super Mario ECR supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Super Mario ECR would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
