An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Ceresso in the 14th minute of play forced sport clube seco's goalkeeper Laerte Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Murillo Simões recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jacinto Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Raúl Ceresso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laerte Alves was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Laerte Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doriva Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jacinto Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laerte Alves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raúl Ceresso's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Laerte Alves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raúl Ceresso went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Hélder Barral hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Laerte Alves came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Volares's Raúl Ceresso. But to his dismay, Raúl Ceresso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Raúl Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56thth minute of the game Raúl Ceresso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but sport clube seco's Laerte Alves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 59th minute Jacinto Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laerte Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laerte Alves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raúl Ceresso's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Laerte Alves made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Raúl Ceresso sent off a good shot on target. Kiko Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Doriva Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adilson Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte Alves having to interfere. Laerte Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Nunes in the 85th minute of play. Laerte Alves was a little too slow when Jacinto Nunes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 0-3. Sérgio Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdemar de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Jorginho de Queiroz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sérgio Moraes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 97th match minute, sport clube seco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorginho de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. AFC Volares played a much better game than sport clube seco and deserved their victory. The sport clube seco players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
