Murillo de Medeiros charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Murillo de Medeiros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Acara getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Murillo de Medeiros hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the game, one of Acara:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Ediberto Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Japurá city's supporters rose to their feet, but Ediberto Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio de Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 23 minutes into the match, Acara's Umberto Falcão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jarbas Quirino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 26 minutes into the game, Lino Esteves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Júlio de Toledo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Júlio de Toledo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ediberto Quadros's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. When Sandrinho de Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Acara's protests and gave Sandrinho de Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. Lino Esteves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Júlio de Toledo having to make a save. The Japurá city fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Japurá city's Ediberto Quadros looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 47 minutes into the game, Umberto Falcão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Acara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Japurá city the free kick. In the 48th minute, Umberto Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Acara players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Japurá city were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel de Almeida to strike the kick off in the second half. When Nilton Jacinto in the 53rd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Júlio de Toledo kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-4 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Júlio de Toledo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lino Esteves showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 56 minute of play. Acara's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Lino Esteves 62 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. After having played for 64 minutes, Lino Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Japurá city's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lino Esteves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lino Esteves took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Júlio de Toledo. Júlio de Toledo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. 69 minutes into the match, Japurá city's Lino Esteves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Júlio de Toledo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, Acara's goalkeeper Júlio de Toledo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ediberto Quadros. After a rather tough play, Acara's Durval Sanches got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, Japurá city's Lino Esteves dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. Ediberto Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Júlio de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Japurá city's Lino Esteves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Júlio de Toledo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ediberto Quadros was extremely unlucky when he, in the 89th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A hard shot 91 in the game by Ediberto Quadros from a close distance when the talented Júlio de Toledo managed to make a qualified save. Acara's players were relieved. Japurá city's Lino Esteves was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 92nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal.
