Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Váldson Valadares started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Váldson Valadares in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tião Nunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 13th minute, Pedro Paulo Leão made a precise shot to the right of Tião Nunes. Jacus's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Tião Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustão Martins in the 17th minute of the match. Tião Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustão Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 23 minutes into the game, Faustão Martins cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Tião Nunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 29 minutes into the game, Gabriel Lago was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seixa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jacus the free kick. The supporters of Jacus booed when Seixa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Faustão Martins had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tião Nunes. Jacus's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Faustão Martins was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After a rather tough play, Seixa's Carlinhos Toscano got a free kick in the 37th minute. The supporters of Seixa booed when Jacus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. André de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tião Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão Martins in the 45th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustão Martins in the 46th minute of play forced Jacus's goalkeeper Tião Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Dadá Donato made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Breno Barral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sílvio Luís Araújo, 53 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Faustão Martins who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Tião Nunes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Seixa booed when Jacus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breno Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tião Nunes made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Faustão Martins sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute, Alexsandro Hermes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute Váldson Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tião Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When André de Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Jacus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André de Sousa couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dadá Donato in the 67th minute of play forced Seixa's goalkeeper Mário de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Seixa's Carlinhos Toscano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. In the 74th minute of the match, Carlinhos Toscano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tião Nunes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tião Nunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Faustão Martins in the 76th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Jacus's zone, Carlinhos Toscano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tião Nunes came out of the goal and Carlinhos Toscano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tião Nunes was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Faustão Martins capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Faustão Martins really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. In the 91st match minute, Seixa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Lago to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Hélder Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tião Nunes acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 97th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sílvio Luís Araújo. Seixa played a much better game than Jacus and deserved their victory. The Jacus players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
