In the 19th minute Conrado de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Prata kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Cauan Dracena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Valle in the 25th minute of play. If Mazinho Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dalmo Prado was the one to do the kick off. Shadown EC's Cauan Dracena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Shadown EC from getting a goal against them. Amadeu Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mazinho Alagoano in the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nico Sergipano in the 60th minute of play forced Sport Recife's goalkeeper Amadeu Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the game, Shadown EC's Conrado de Moraes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amadeu Linares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Zé Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. The Shadown EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sport Recife were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
