With a left leg Geovanni Arruda saved PERNA DE PAU SC from getting behind. In the 23rd minute, Vivaldo Moreira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PERNA DE PAU SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Ronaldo Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Arruda having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Alexandre Pitta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geovanni Arruda was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. When Alfredo Dante came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the PERNA DE PAU SC fans jumped to their feet. PERNA DE PAU SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Perobal the free kick. After 38 played minutes PERNA DE PAU SC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Dante. The supporters of PERNA DE PAU SC booed when Perobal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Augusto Sergipano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Perobal's Oséias Ferreira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Oséias Ferreira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Perobal protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Oséias Ferreira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Perobal:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of PERNA DE PAU SC:s goal. The referee gave PERNA DE PAU SC a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alfredo Dante, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Perobal's Arnaldo Moura. 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vágner Pernambucano to make the kick off. Fábio Medeiros took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnaldo Moura. Arnaldo Moura dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The supporters of PERNA DE PAU SC booed when Perobal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Rezende didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnaldo Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Dante in the 61st minute of the match. After 65 played minutes PERNA DE PAU SC got a freekick which was hit by Vivaldo Moreira. Arnaldo Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Dante in the 69th minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Alfredo Dante cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Arnaldo Moura was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Alfredo Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A sloppy throw-in by Ronaldo Gaúcho in the 77th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by PERNA DE PAU SC's Vivaldo Moreira. A collision led to Perobal getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Romeu Garcia hit a great ball. In the 87th match minute, PERNA DE PAU SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vágner Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. Giovanni Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Ruben Paz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Perobal's goal looked a bit too open when Vágner Pernambucano came free, but Arnaldo Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Dante got his second yellow card in the match during the 92nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 93rd minute, Alfredo Dante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. PERNA DE PAU SC had won after a very even match.
