Nicolas Loyola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Estrela Azul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Capixaba came free, but Nicolas Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. One of Santa City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Estrela Azul FC:s goal. The referee gave Estrela Azul FC a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Donato Souza, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Santa City's Bruninho Custódio. 3-2. Bruninho Custódio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cauan Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cauan Antunes in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruninho Custódio saved Santa City from getting behind. Nicolas Loyola came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Santa City's Chicão Trevisan. But to his dismay, Chicão Trevisan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. Natanael Fontes struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Bruninho Custódio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estrela Azul FC. After 72 played minutes Estrela Azul FC got a freekick which was hit by Natanael Fontes. 83 minutes into the game, Santa City's Ricardo Capixaba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicolas Loyola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. The audience was convinced that Cauan Antunes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruninho Custódio was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Bruninho Custódio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cauan Antunes's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Santa City walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
