Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Otávio Couto took the kick off in the first half of the match. Luís Fernando Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Luiz Fernando Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernani Costa in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Fernando Barbosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Ibrahy AD defense, Otávio Couto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamim Teles. The Ibrahy AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamim Teles should have stopped the shot. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibrahy AD's goalkeeper Benjamim Teles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Ernani Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Fernando Barbosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. With a little luck, Maripa's Luiz Fernando Barbosa got control of the ball when Luís Fernando Arruda tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 27th minute, Ibrahy AD's Ernani Costa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luiz Fernando Barbosa. Luiz Fernando Barbosa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. 36 minutes into the match, Otávio Couto notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Ibrahy AD's Benjamim Teles. Benjamim Teles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Maripa defense, Ernani Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fernando Barbosa. The Maripa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fernando Barbosa should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ernani Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Otávio Couto got free with Benjamim Teles in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Ibrahy AD's Benjamim Teles got control of the ball when Otávio Couto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luís Fernando Arruda hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Otávio Couto got free with Benjamim Teles in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ernani de Sousa the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ibrahy AD protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ernani de Sousa had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 69th minute there was a penalty for Maripa. Jaime das Neves stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Benjamim Teles. 4-3. Luís Fernando Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Otávio Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sydney Cavalcante hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute Luís Fernando Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 minutes, Délio da Rocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ibrahy AD and the Maripa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Benjamim Teles made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Otávio Couto sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute Luís Fernando Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ibrahy AD's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
