Renatinho Secco didn't quite understand what happened when in the 9 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. 11 minutes into the match, Delfim Paulista had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Clóvis Mota. MARINOS F. C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Delfim Paulista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Vinícius Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clóvis Mota having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, MARINOS F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Delfim Paulista came free, but Clóvis Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th match minute, MARINOS F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson Motta to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th match minute, MARINOS F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rony Breckenfeld to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute Delfim Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clóvis Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MARINOS F. Igor Dionísio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Clóvis Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. MARINOS F. C.'s Clóvis Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delfim Paulista in the 41st minute of play. Renatinho Secco's late challenge caught a MARINOS F. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Renatinho Secco helped the player get up and apologised. After the first half Gilbert AD were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a little luck, MARINOS F. C.'s Clóvis Mota got control of the ball when Vinícius Marques tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Falcão Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. MARINOS F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Falcão Coelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Mazza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64th minute, Falcão Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute Delfim Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clóvis Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conrado Branco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Clóvis Mota made a huge save. MARINOS F. C.'s Laércio Massa got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 79 minutes, Laércio Massa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MARINOS F. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Laércio Massa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Laércio Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Teixeira charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joel Teixeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vinícius Marques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Clóvis Mota made a huge save. When Emerson Motta was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 91 minutes had been played. Emerson Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. When Gilbert AD's Delfim Paulista in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MARINOS F. C.'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 96th match minute, MARINOS F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laércio Massa to maneuver through the defense. Gilbert AD's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
