After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Inácio Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot. Regina FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Proença was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tião de Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 5 minutes into the game, Regina FC's Pedrinho Nascimento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tião de Barros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nelsinho Berger got free with Enio Falcão in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Enio Falcão managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when TOP™- SANTÁSTICO - FDFDF's Nelsinho Berger fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tião de Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Guilherme Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Leme in the 20th minute of play forced TOP™- SANTÁSTICO - FDFDF's goalkeeper Tião de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, TOP™- SANTÁSTICO - FDFDF's Remo Lopez got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The corner ended in Luiz Guilherme Mazza almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but TOP™- SANTÁSTICO - FDFDF's Tião de Barros did a great save. 28 minutes into the game, Luiz Guilherme Mazza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Regina FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TOP™- SANTÁSTICO - FDFDF the free kick. After 29 played minutes Regina FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Guilherme Mazza. In the 30th minute, Pedrinho Nascimento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Regina FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. With a little luck, Regina FC's Enio Falcão got control of the ball when Nelsinho Berger tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tião de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Pedrinho Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tião de Barros having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Pedrinho Nascimento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tião de Barros was relentless in the 44th minute of the game.
Regina FC made a substitution. Sílvio Pena replaced Maurinho Netto. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedrinho Nascimento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored TOP™- SANTÁSTICO - FDFDF's protests and gave David Maranhense a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th match minute, Regina FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Proença to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, David Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute of the match, Inácio Proença tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tião de Barros saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Inácio Proença received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tião de Barros came out and tried to block the shot, but Inácio Proença slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 77th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Nelsinho Berger notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Regina FC's Enio Falcão. Enio Falcão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tião de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiliam Guimarães in the 86th minute of play. Tião de Barros made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Wiliam Guimarães sent off a good shot on target. Cássio de Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tião de Barros having to interfere. Regina FC's Enio Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelsinho Berger in the 92nd minute of play.
