But to his dismay, Pedrinho Britto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After the first half Iuna were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 53 played minutes Iuna got a freekick which was hit by Válter Toledo. In the 57th minute, Válter Toledo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Iuna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. During the 69th minute of the match Carlinhos Lago completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Carlinhos Lago a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Carlinhos Lago hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Cauã de Salles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Schmidt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Soltas AD's goalkeeper Claudinei de Souza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Válter Toledo. Soltas AD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Pedrinho Britto scored to the left of an out of position Claudinei de Souza, making the score, 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Soltas AD's zone, Eugênio Sá stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinei de Souza came out of the goal and Eugênio Sá tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Didi Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Laerte Nunes hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Válter Toledo got free with Claudinei de Souza in the 99th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Soltas AD fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Iuna were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
