Jefferson Urbano hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Sydney de Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Dito Camargo made a huge save. Mazinho Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Anísio Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Lemon Haze FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Bueno came free, but Anísio Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bagre's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Vivaldo Cabral scored to the left of an out of position Dito Camargo, making the score, 1-0. The supporters of Lemon Haze FC booed when Bagre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jefferson Urbano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dito Camargo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vivaldo Cabral went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lemon Haze FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! Sydney de Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dito Camargo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bagre's Elivélton Massa got a free kick in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luciano Bueno to strike the kick off in the second half.
