Celso Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute Celsinho dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Vendramini Team's Hortêncio Eger got a free kick in the 19th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Wellington Favoretto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Carlos Motta. Vendramini Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wellington Favoretto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Juninho Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Paulo Renato Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Renato Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Pinheiro in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vendramini Team's Luís Fernando Sarmento got a free kick in the 27th minute. Basílio Ortiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Carlos Motta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Basílio Ortiz ran back to his position shaking his head. Hortêncio Eger received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paulo Renato Nóbrega came out and tried to block the shot, but Hortêncio Eger slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 30th minute. In the 34th match minute, TERROR DA MOOCA F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Trevisan to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Renato Nóbrega didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juninho Barreto went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. TERROR DA MOOCA F.C.'s Paulo Renato Nóbrega proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save TERROR DA MOOCA F.C. from getting a goal against them. Luiz Fábio França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Renato Nóbrega having to interfere. If Juninho Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Fábio França made a kick off. Basílio Ortiz hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Paulo Fernandes got free with João Carlos Motta in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wellington Favoretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. João Carlos Motta made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Oscar Alves sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of TERROR DA MOOCA F.C. booed when Vendramini Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otávio Vasconcelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Vendramini Team defense, Oscar Alves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Carlos Motta. The Vendramini Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Carlos Motta should have stopped the shot. Paulo Renato Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fábio França, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After some careless play in the TERROR DA MOOCA F.C. defense, Luiz Fábio França kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Renato Nóbrega. The TERROR DA MOOCA F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Renato Nóbrega should have stopped the shot. After 90 minutes of play, TERROR DA MOOCA F.C.'s Oscar Alves made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Carlos Motta was left in no man's land by his defense there! Juninho Barreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vendramini Team's Juninho Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. TERROR DA MOOCA F.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
