Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 9th minute of the match Cauã Marinho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernani de Moraes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tiago Berger hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 13th match minute, Remo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Bruninho Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valério Antunes having to interfere. Valério Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruninho Sarmento in the 18th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Bruninho Sarmento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SC Arapuca's Ricardo Rosado got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricardo Rosado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Walmyr Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Ernani de Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Walmyr Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ricardo Rosado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of SC Arapuca booed when Remo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caio Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, SC Arapuca's goal looked a bit too open when Walmyr Britto came free, but Ernani de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
