The corner ended in Álvaro Melo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gremio NG's Fábio Pinheiro did a great save. If Gilmar Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jailson Capixaba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fábio Pinheiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Silvério Diniz in the 92nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Botafogo MZRJ's Juvenal Camargo. Hélder Antunes hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Fábio Pinheiro was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Gilmar Couto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gilmar Couto really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. When the final whistle sounded Botafogo MZRJ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gremio NG.
