Seating: 1812, VIP seats: 157) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alberto Monteiro got the match started through his kick off. 2 minutes into the match, Hannover Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Augusto Garcia came free, but Édouard Mendy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Augusto Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Édouard Mendy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jean Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Efrain Salamon having to interfere. Hannover Football Club's Édouard Mendy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Simão in the 37th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Lu Zheng Lei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Édouard Mendy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lu Zheng Lei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lu Zheng Lei was the one to do the kick off. Lu Zheng Lei did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Édouard Mendy 51 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute Pedro Augusto Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Édouard Mendy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dieguinho da Silva during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Efrain Salamon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. A wasted opportunity for Hannover Football Club. In the 85th minute, Chiquinho Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Celtic FC's zone, Jean Messias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Efrain Salamon came out of the goal and Jean Messias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chiquinho de Souza made in the 91st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Severino Simão immediately put the ball in play. Édouard Mendy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Augusto Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celtic FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Hannover Football Club's much stronger midfield.
