After a rather tough play, Aliança EC's Benedito Azevedo got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 7th minute Falcão Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Adolfo Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benedito Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. João Adolfo Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grêmio Carvoeiro FC's João Adolfo Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés da Fonseca in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute Doriva Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Adolfo Trigo came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Aliança EC's Moisés da Fonseca. But to his dismay, Moisés da Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Jorge Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luís Cardoso in the 20th minute of the match. João Adolfo Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. João Adolfo Trigo came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Aliança EC's Falcão Tinoco. But to his dismay, Falcão Tinoco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Jorge Soares was a little too slow when André Luís Cardoso got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 1-3. João Adolfo Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moisés da Fonseca in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Benedito Azevedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aliança EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. João Adolfo Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falcão Tinoco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Grêmio Carvoeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Falcão Tinoco came free, but João Adolfo Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Adolfo Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falcão Tinoco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Adolfo Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Falcão Tinoco in the 44th minute of the match. Walmyr Albuquerque charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Walmyr Albuquerque the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Walmyr Albuquerque hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The Grêmio Carvoeiro FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Aliança EC were winning 1-4.

Benjamin Alagoano was extremely unlucky when he, in the 51st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 56 minutes into the game, Aliança EC's Benedito Azevedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Adolfo Trigo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. The crowd rose to their feet as Benedito Azevedo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving João Adolfo Trigo. That made the score 1-6 in the 66 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Moisés da Fonseca took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for João Adolfo Trigo to make any attempt to save it. Benedito Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Adolfo Trigo having to interfere. Falcão Tinoco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. João Adolfo Trigo came out and tried to block the shot, but Falcão Tinoco slotted it home off the left post making it 1-8 in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luís Cardoso in the 86th minute of play forced Aliança EC's goalkeeper Jorge Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grêmio Carvoeiro FC's João Adolfo Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés da Fonseca in the 89th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Aliança EC's Falcão Tinoco got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Aliança EC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
