An unexpectedly hard shot by Darko Đoković in the 9th minute of play forced Soneca FC's goalkeeper Jerônimo Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Soneca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lauro Carneiro came free, but Jerônimo Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Soneca FC's Jerônimo Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darko Đoković in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Dacian Senin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute, Manuel Custódio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lauro Carneiro scored 0-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jerônimo Velasco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Soneca FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Darko Đoković was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 31 played minutes Soneca FC got a freekick which was hit by Willian Matorin. After 34 minutes, Carlos Fernando Coutinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Soneca FC and the F.C Fribourg players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th minute Egídio Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, F.C Fribourg's Lauro Carneiro got a free kick in the 37th minute. Jerônimo Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Trevisan in the 46th minute of the match. Jeremias Trevisan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerônimo Velasco having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lauro Carneiro was the one to do the kick off. 0-4 became the score in the 52nd minute when Darko Đoković elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of F.C Fribourg booed when Soneca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sydney da Mata didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute Darko Đoković shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 minutes of play, F.C Fribourg's Dacian Senin made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jerônimo Velasco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jerônimo Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darko Đoković in the 71st minute of play. After 73 played minutes Soneca FC got a freekick which was hit by Doni do Valle. 何笑鹏 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertinho Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 84th minute, Dacian Senin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jerônimo Velasco. The goal made the score 0-6. Egídio Salgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
