With a little luck, Lucas Juniors's Beto Massa got control of the ball when Eliazar Pimienta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dorian Freitas's late challenge caught a CORINTHIANS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dorian Freitas helped the player get up and apologised. Dorian Freitas hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lucas Juniors's zone, Erasmo Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beto Massa came out of the goal and Erasmo Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CORINTHIANS made a substitution. Wilson Veiga replaced Adalberto Passos. CORINTHIANS made a substitution. Rui Borges replaced Erasmo Ramos. In the 77th minute, Rui Borges ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beto Massa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. In the 81st match minute, CORINTHIANS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urtsín Dumont to maneuver through the defense. Ondino Fabres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorian Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 86 played minutes CORINTHIANS got a freekick which was hit by Caio Paiva. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched CORINTHIANS eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
