Carlinhos Bueno hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, Alice's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio Bertassi came free, but Magno Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. S.C.PAULISTA's Gerrit Cronen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Lima in the 27th minute of play. Gerrit Cronen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álvaro Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute, Álvaro Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Gerrit Cronen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.C.PAULISTA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Álvaro Lima was slow to take the kick. During this time Alice's players had a chance to rest. Alice's Túlio Pitta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gerrit Cronen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gerrit Cronen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álvaro Lima in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Laércio Bertassi made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Lira in the 53rd minute of play forced S.C.PAULISTA's goalkeeper Gerrit Cronen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Douglas Meriti could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Magno Maia however easily saved by the left post. 57 minutes into the match, S.C.PAULISTA's Douglas Meriti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Magno Maia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. S.C.PAULISTA's Gerrit Cronen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Lima in the 71st minute of play. Laércio Bertassi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out.
