If Paulo Enaut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Defensores de Belgrano's goal looked a bit too open when Generoso Pacorro came free, but Mauro Diaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Belgrano's Mario Ursino got a free kick in the 46th minute. After 48 played minutes, Haedo's Nereo Bixintxo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mauro Diaz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Haedo reached it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Defensores de Belgrano's Mauro Diaz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Defensores de Belgrano from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Clodoveo Refugio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauro Diaz was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Amado James hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Haedo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Defensores de Belgrano.
