Godfredo Cai hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After 11 played minutes Centenario Bohemio got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Pere. Centenario Bohemio's Domingos Pere got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th match minute, Mondongo Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigio Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Centenario Bohemio's Carlos Alberto Carrio got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 25 played minutes, Mondongo Juniors's Godfredo Cai shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabio Cilio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mondongo Juniors reached it. Fabio Cilio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Liher in the 27th minute of the match. Mondongo Juniors's Angel Toli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto Carrio in the 39th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Alberto Carrio was the one to do the kick off. Carlos Alberto Carrio struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Angel Toli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Centenario Bohemio. The referee felt a red card was in order, 55 minutes into the game, when Rodolfo Raffaelli put in a rough tackle. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Centenario Bohemio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Pere was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Domingos Pere missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 69 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Angel Toli right hand side. Centenario Bohemio's Domingos Pere got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carmelo Liher received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fabio Cilio came out and tried to block the shot, but Carmelo Liher slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 76th minute. Carlos Alberto Carrio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angel Toli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Mondongo Juniors succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Centenario Bohemio had controlled the match.
