In the 15th minute of the match, Emanuel Duarte got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcelo Izel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Club Deportivo Garrayalde's Andres Ferran in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Club Deportivo Garrayalde fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pascual Aureo should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Eugenio Banegas managed to get in a good position for a shot. ROCK SUR FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugenio Banegas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andres Ferran to make the kick off.
