Mauricio Alfonso was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 4 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Endura during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Abel Endura hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the game, one of Cañada:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 16 minutes into the game, Abel Endura recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eliseo Paio. Abel Endura showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Eliseo Paio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Suero in the 20th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Ruben Mas's goalkeeper Eliseo Paio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaston Hug. Bernardo Fagildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Isidoro Fidensio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Beremundo in the 26th minute of play. Norberto Beremundo hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Cañada's Isidro Pirro shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 28th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Eliseo Paio but with some difficulty. After 31 played minutes Ruben Mas got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Fagildo. In the 32nd minute, Rigoberto Munio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Isidoro Rioja in the 34th minute really tested Eliseo Paio's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 39thth minute of the game Norberto Beremundo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cañada's Isidoro Fidensio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Cañada booed when Ruben Mas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornelio Abalos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardo Fagildo made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Pirro in the 55th minute of play forced Ruben Mas's goalkeeper Eliseo Paio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Bernardo Fagildo made a precise shot to the right of Isidoro Fidensio. Cañada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After 62 played minutes Ruben Mas got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Abalos. In the 68th minute, Americo Gutierrez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Isidoro Fidensio, passed just outside the right post. A collision led to Ruben Mas getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Norberto Beremundo hit a great ball. Norberto Beremundo kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After having played for 81 minutes, Cirilo Matteo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ruben Mas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cirilo Matteo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Norberto Beremundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidoro Fidensio having to interfere. Bernardo Fagildo struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Isidoro Fidensio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ruben Mas. The crowd rose to their feet as Americo Gutierrez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Isidoro Fidensio. That made the score 2-3 in the 90 minute of play. Eliseo Paio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Hug in the 95th minute of the match.
