Oscar Rivas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Martelli United's Maximino Stanislao got a free kick in the 16th minute. The supporters of Cochequingán booed when Martelli United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Lawrence didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oscar Rivas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Herrera in the 30th minute of play. Arturo Geofredo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Oscar Rivas. Martelli United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Oscar Rivas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olexandr Panchuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Martelli United's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Herrera came free, but Oscar Rivas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olexandr Panchuk in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Rivas saved Martelli United from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eleuterio Abarca during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match had been going on for 46 minutes, Martelli United's Fabio Guillelmus got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gogo Maria. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The Cochequingán fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Cochequingán's Olexandr Panchuk looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Olexandr Panchuk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oscar Rivas was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 78 minutes into the match, Jaime Herrera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oscar Rivas. Martelli United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jaime Herrera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After 81 played minutes Martelli United got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Stanislao. If Olexandr Panchuk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Cochequingán booed when Martelli United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Lawrence didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martelli United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fabio Guillelmus in the 99th minute. When the final whistle sounded Cochequingán left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Martelli United.
