The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciro Celipe got free with Cristian Honesto in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ciro Celipe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Honesto having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Victorino Licerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 27 played minutes Defensores Unidos Zarate got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Celipe. Ciro Celipe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Cristian Honesto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciro Celipe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Honesto having to interfere. Cristian Honesto was a little too slow when Ciro Celipe got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciro Celipe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Lorenzo Lobo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Israel Etxeberri charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Israel Etxeberri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Defensores Unidos Zarate's Vladimiro Iturri was substituted for Genaro Norino. Israel Etxeberri hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute of the match Defensores Unidos Zarate got a corner. Ascochinga's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Saverio Qwinton ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Defensores Unidos Zarate's Gervasio Mitxaut to a score. 2-0 in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, Ascochinga's Honorio Jaen got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Saverio Qwinton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cristian Honesto. Ascochinga's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cristian Honesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Celipe in the 66th minute of play. Octavio Rameriz kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Lorenzo Lobo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Braulio Silviano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Sotero in the 79th minute of play forced Defensores Unidos Zarate's goalkeeper Braulio Silviano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honorio Jaen's late challenge caught a Defensores Unidos Zarate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Honorio Jaen helped the player get up and apologised. Defensores Unidos Zarate's Florentino Chan was substituted for Benedicto Nahia. A collision led to Ascochinga getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Honorio Jaen hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, Ascochinga's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Celipe came free, but Cristian Honesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Defensores Unidos Zarate's Ciro Celipe got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ciro Celipe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the game, Gervasio Mitxaut cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Cristian Honesto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 93 minutes into the match, Ascochinga's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Celipe came free, but Cristian Honesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciro Celipe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Honesto having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Defensores Unidos Zarate had played much better football throughout.
