In the 18th minute, Victorio Etxatxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, Los Toritos de Chiclana's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Hermon came free, but Angelo Euloxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfonso Osasun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgard Txaran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Pepillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. A collision led to Instituto F.C. getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Bonifacio Modestio hit a great ball. If Donato Hermon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Los Toritos de Chiclana's Leandro Pepillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edgard Txaran. That made the score 1-1 after 36 minutes of play. Edgard Txaran acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 39th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ciro Erroman. In the 42nd minute Leandro Pepillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Txaran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Pedro Etxatxu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Instituto F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Toritos de Chiclana the free kick. Instituto F.C.'s Edgard Txaran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Instituto F.C. from getting a goal against them. Norberto Berasko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Leandro Pepillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donato Hermon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edgard Txaran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Berasko, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. An unexpected shot in the 59th minute by Donato Hermon got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 62 minutes, Alfonso Osasun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Instituto F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Osasun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Los Toritos de Chiclana's goalkeeper Angelo Euloxu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfonso Osasun. Angelo Euloxu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donato Hermon's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Edgard Txaran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Berasko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Alfonso Osasun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Instituto F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alfonso Osasun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Euloxu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th minute, Donato Hermon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 82 minutes into the game, Lucio Naike was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Toritos de Chiclana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Instituto F.C. the free kick. Lucio Naike kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 85th minute Instituto F.C. were awarded a corner. Benjamin Abeijon went to the cornerflag to take it. Angelo Euloxu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Donato Hermon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 91 minute of play. If Donato Hermon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bonifacio Modestio's late challenge caught a Los Toritos de Chiclana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bonifacio Modestio helped the player get up and apologised. After 98 played minutes Instituto F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Modestio. Instituto F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
