Spectators: 7290 (Terracing: 5470, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 144) Mozambique's Hugo Lope started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Nicolas Rocio notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Punto Unido FC's Isaac Urko. Isaac Urko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Punto Unido FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Hugo Lope 7 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. In the 15th match minute, Mozambique was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Gaitan to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd match minute, Punto Unido FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cayetano Rodriguez to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, Mozambique's goal looked a bit too open when Justino Iratzeder came free, but Nicolas Ordono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cayetano Rodriguez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Ordono having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugo Lope in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isaac Urko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute, Lorenzo Ler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolas Rocio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Urko having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Nicolas Rocio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.

The wind increased when Justino Iratzeder made the kick off in the second half. Prudencio Manuelo kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Nicolas Ordono made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Iratzeder in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute of the match, Cayetano Rodriguez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nicolas Ordono was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Nicolas Ordono took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Iratzeder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Punto Unido FC's Cayetano Rodriguez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nicolas Ordono. That made the score 2-1 after 69 minutes of play. A collision led to Punto Unido FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Hugo Chepe hit a great ball. If Hugo Lope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the game, Basilio Eron was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Punto Unido FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mozambique the free kick. Cayetano Rodriguez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Ordono having to interfere. Cayetano Rodriguezs short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Nicolas Ordono to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Nicolas Ordono made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cayetano Rodriguez in the 83rd minute. After a rather tough play, Mozambique's Placido Qwinton got a free kick in the 85th minute. Mozambique's Nicolas Ordono played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justino Iratzeder in the 88th minute of play. Hugo Lope's late challenge caught a Punto Unido FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Lope helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd match minute, Mozambique was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Lope to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Justino Iratzeder in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolas Ordono saved Mozambique from getting behind. Mozambique's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
