Spectators: 6675 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leandro Abascal started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Abascal in the 3rd minute of play forced Iglesia's goalkeeper Emiliano Mercurio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leandro Abascal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute Dalmacio Aguirre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Valerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cornelio Valerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Confesor in the 14th minute of play. Ricardo Confesor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Cornelio Valerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Abascal in the 19th minute of play forced Iglesia's goalkeeper Emiliano Mercurio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leandro Abascal hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 23 minutes in the game, Rigoberto Mannie fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Emiliano Mercurio having to interfere. If Rigoberto Mannie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Dalmacio Aguirre came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Iglesia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dalmacio Aguirre couldn't finish the play. Edgard Nalo's late challenge caught a Iglesia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard Nalo helped the player get up and apologised. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Florida AFC! In the 37th minute there was a penalty for Iglesia. Julian Beti stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cornelio Valerio. 0-1. Cornelio Valerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Confesor, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 44 minutes into the match, Iglesia's goalkeeper Emiliano Mercurio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rigoberto Mannie. Rigoberto Mannie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Mercurio having to interfere. After the first half Iglesia were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ricardo Confesor to strike the kick off in the second half. Rigoberto Mannie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Mercurio having to interfere. Dalmacio Aguirre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Valerio having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Ricardo Confesor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leandro Abascal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Emiliano Mercurio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Iglesia getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Emiliano Mercurio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Florida AFC. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
