After having played for 17 minutes, Celso Castel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rulo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Castel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sergio Abarca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geronimo Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricardo Erauso came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Club Ciudad Buenos Aires's Hermengildo Naldo. But to his dismay, Hermengildo Naldo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Sergio Abarca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geronimo Marquez in the 26th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 28 minutes into the game, when Mateo Aguilera put in a rough tackle. In the 28th minute, one of Rulo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rulo. Diego Eguerdi placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Niceto Ostots kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Diego Eguerdi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ricardo Erauso. Rulo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Isidro Deunoro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Erauso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Justino Gonzales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Rulo's goal looked a bit too open when Isidro Deunoro came free, but Ricardo Erauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Club Ciudad Buenos Aires were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 60 played minutes Club Ciudad Buenos Aires got a freekick which was hit by Feliciano Natanael. In the 61st minute of the match Niceto Ostots shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sergio Abarca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A hard shot by Diego Eguerdi from long distance, 66 minutes into the match, got Ricardo Erauso's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Iztal in the 71st minute of play forced Rulo's goalkeeper Ricardo Erauso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justino Gonzales kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Aquilino Elazar charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aquilino Elazar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 74th match minute, Rulo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquilino Elazar to maneuver through the defense. Club Ciudad Buenos Aires's Isidro Deunoro got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Hermengildo Naldo came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Club Ciudad Buenos Aires fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermengildo Naldo couldn't finish the play. Isidro Deunoro succeeded in the game's 88th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Celso Castel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Sergio Abarca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Club Ciudad Buenos Aires eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
