In the 7th minute, Ruben Abilio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gerli fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Aureliano Baldovino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Emanuel Matthew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narciso Jon got free with Iker Orlan in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th minute, Ruben Abilio made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel Matthew. Mateoli F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filomeno Ezkerra in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iker Orlan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Mateoli F.C booed when Gerli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Laurin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Mateoli F.C's Filomeno Ezkerra got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 34thth minute of the game Aureliano Baldovino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mateoli F.C's Emanuel Matthew was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Haroldo Galoer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Matthew showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Baldovino in the 46th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haroldo Galoer to make the kick off. Anier Beltran placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The referee gave Gerli a penalty, 72 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Igor Cebo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mateoli F.C's Emanuel Matthew. 0-3. Aureliano Baldovino struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Emanuel Matthew didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gerli. Iker Orlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Galoer in the 82nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mateoli F.C's zone, Aureliano Baldovino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Matthew came out of the goal and Aureliano Baldovino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ruben Abilio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Matthew having to interfere.
