Rolando Loren hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute Lucio Gabino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Timo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Etor in the 68th minute of play forced Sportivo Caza Leon's goalkeeper Federico Timo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciro Afonso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Honorio Fernado's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Lucio Gabino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Honorio Fernado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ciro Afonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Honorio Fernado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciro Afonso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Venancio Bastiaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CF La Plata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sportivo Caza Leon the free kick. The supporters of Sportivo Caza Leon booed when CF La Plata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Bastiaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute Sportivo Caza Leon were awarded a corner. Cecilio Luix went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Cecilio Luix got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ciro Afonso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. CF La Plata were victorious despite being under pressure from Sportivo Caza Leon for much of the match.
