Anselmo Jakes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Jaime Atarrabi made a huge save. Sergio Tello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Cordeiro in the 34th minute of play. Victor Cordeal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Jaime Atarrabi made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Corti AFC's zone, Ambrosio Santio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Atarrabi came out of the goal and Ambrosio Santio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victor Cordeal might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jaime Atarrabi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Cordeal ran back to his position shaking his head. Jaime Atarrabi was a little too slow when Anselmo Jakes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Victor Cordeal made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Cordeal in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaime Atarrabi saved Corti AFC from getting behind. If Victor Cordeal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. When Victor Cordeal came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the El Ciclon de Barracas fans jumped to their feet. A collision led to El Ciclon de Barracas getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Ambrosio Santio hit a great ball. Jaime Atarrabi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Cordeal, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Victor Cordeal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
