In the 2nd minute, Braulio Salomone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnulfo Semeno came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Papagayos AFC's Clodoveo Amaya. But to his dismay, Clodoveo Amaya quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. With his leg Arnulfo Semeno managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Papagayos AFC's Clodoveo Amaya fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 20 minutes into the match, Malargüe's goalkeeper Arnulfo Semeno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clodoveo Amaya. Romeo Garcia hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Genaro Monico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Cordeara having to interfere. Arnulfo Semeno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clodoveo Amaya in the 28th minute of the match. After 31 played minutes Papagayos AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Gaufred. A collision led to Papagayos AFC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Javier Lando hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Papagayos AFC defense, Genaro Monico kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tobias Cordeara. The Papagayos AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tobias Cordeara should have stopped the shot. 40 minutes into the game, Javier Marquez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Tobias Cordeara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Papagayos AFC's Tobias Cordeara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Iruinea in the 44th minute of play. Tobias Cordeara came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Malargüe's Javier Marquez. But to his dismay, Javier Marquez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. The Papagayos AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Malargüe were winning 1-4.

The wind increased when Clodoveo Amaya made the kick off in the second half. Malargüe's Genaro Monico got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Genaro Monico dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tobias Cordeara, 1-5. Rigoberto Domiku kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. When Anacleto Reyes came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Papagayos AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anacleto Reyes couldn't finish the play. Luis Paublo got a throw-in 71 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Anacleto Reyes. Federico Munio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Arnulfo Semeno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Papagayos AFC's Clodoveo Amaya got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Iruinea in the 82nd minute of play forced Papagayos AFC's goalkeeper Tobias Cordeara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Javier Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malargüe's supporters rose to their feet, but Javier Marquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The Papagayos AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Malargüe were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
