Orlando Gaúcho was a little too slow when Aldo Salomone got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. Bakar Castelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Leguizamón having to interfere. Orlando Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aldo Salomone in the 15th minute of the match. Defensa y Justicia's Orlando Gaúcho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Defensa y Justicia from getting a goal against them. When Faustino Llin came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Sp. Mataderos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faustino Llin couldn't finish the play. Bakar Castelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliseo Benitez's shot from long distance in the 24th minute was not bad at all, but Defensa y Justicia's Orlando Gaúcho knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. When Aldo Salomone fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sp. Mataderos's protests and gave Aldo Salomone a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th minute, Aldo Salomone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, Aldo Salomone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 39 minutes into the game, Bakar Castelo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Valentin Leguizamón was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 42nd minute, Leandro Lobo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leandro Lobo was the one to do the kick off. Aldo Salomone was shown his second yellow card after 52 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 52 played minutes Sp. Mataderos got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Salomone. Sp. Mataderos's Valentin Leguizamón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ke Jun Xuan in the 55th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sp. Mataderos's Eliseo Benitez got a free kick in the 56th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bakar Castelo got free with Valentin Leguizamón in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute Defensa y Justicia were awarded a corner. Ke Jun Xuan went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Ke Jun Xuan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sp. Mataderos's Valentin Leguizamón did a great save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leandro Lobo in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orlando Gaúcho saved Defensa y Justicia from getting behind. Orlando Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Llin in the 72nd minute of the match. Bakar Castelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Defensa y Justicia made a substitution. Haroldo Javiero replaced Ke Jun Xuan. 80 minutes into the match, Defensa y Justicia's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Lobo came free, but Orlando Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Sp. Mataderos getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Eliseo Benitez hit a great ball. Defensa y Justicia were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Sp. Mataderos's much stronger midfield.
