Álvaro Andrade made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Narciso Uriarte sent off a good shot on target. Gil Macieira kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Manuel Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Álvaro Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Faro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Real de Santo Estevão's Rogério Morais got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the game, Manuel Faro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Álvaro Andrade was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Manuel Faro in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Álvaro Andrade, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 25 minutes of play, Pontevel's Manuel Rocha made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedro Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rogério Moraiss short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Álvaro Andrade to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pontevel's Álvaro Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Faro in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Hermano Palha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Faro in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Álvaro Andrade, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Manuel Faro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Real de Santo Estevão's Pedro Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Rocha in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Faro to make the kick off. Pedro Vale made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Hermano Palha sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gil Macieira got free with Pedro Vale in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedro Vale was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Gil Macieira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gil Macieira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Manuel Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Álvaro Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogério Morais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Rogério Morais got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ilídio Casado hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Manuel Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Pedro Vale was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Ilídio Casado capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ilídio Casado really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Pontevel's Manuel Rocha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedro Vale. That made the score 1-5 after 80 minutes of play. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Manuel Faro put it in 2-5 from a short distance just to the right of Álvaro Andrade. 91 minutes into the game, Real de Santo Estevão's Narciso Uriarte nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Álvaro Andrade made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. In the 96th minute Manuel Faro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Although Real de Santo Estevão had been in control for most of the match, Pontevel still came away with the win.
