Aparício Durães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Sousa in the 16th minute of the match. Filipe Coelho scored 2-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aparício Durães, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simão Aveiro during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Simão Aveiro hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. SC Lombas's Aparício Durães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Sousa in the 25th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Kevin Avelar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristiano Moutinho. The crowd rose to their feet as Futebol Clube do Porto's Filipe Coelho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aparício Durães. That made the score 3-1 after 40 minutes of play. Filipe Coelho took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aparício Durães. Aparício Durães dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. When Nélson Lameirinhas fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Lombas's protests and gave Nélson Lameirinhas a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SC Lombas's Nélson Lameirinhas got a free kick in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aparício Durães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aparício Durães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. In the 88th minute, one of SC Lombas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Lombas. Nélson Lameirinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. Aparício Durães came out of the goal in the 101st minute to try and stop a shot by Futebol Clube do Porto's Filipe Coelho. But to his dismay, Filipe Coelho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-1. When the referee ended the match the Futebol Clube do Porto players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
