Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) SC Guimarães's Sandro Azevedo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lucas Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in A.D.PEDROSO's zone, Sandro Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacob Seixas came out of the goal and Sandro Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Nicolau Esparteiro fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.D.PEDROSO's protests and gave Nicolau Esparteiro a yellow card for diving instead. Nicolau Esparteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SC Guimarães's Lucas Lima got a free kick in the 8th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Sandro Azevedo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of A.D.PEDROSO's Jacob Seixas. Jacob Seixas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sandro Azevedo took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacob Seixas. Jacob Seixas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 19 played minutes A.D.PEDROSO got a freekick which was hit by Nicolau Esparteiro. Jacob Seixas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandro Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Caetano Castro made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Resende. SC Guimarães's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. When Sandro Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the SC Guimarães fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandro Azevedo couldn't finish the play. Lucas Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacob Seixas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sandro Azevedo went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Manuel Resende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After the first half SC Guimarães were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Santiago Veiga to make the kick off. Sandro Azevedo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Jacob Seixas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jacob Seixas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Augusto Paiva showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 55 minute of play. A.D.PEDROSO's Jacob Seixas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save A.D.PEDROSO from getting a goal against them. The supporters of SC Guimarães booed when A.D.PEDROSO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caetano Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandro Azevedo in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacob Seixas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 66 minutes of play A.D.PEDROSO's Nicolau Esparteiro was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 66th match minute, A.D.PEDROSO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolau Esparteiro to maneuver through the defense. Augusto Paiva took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacob Seixas. Jacob Seixas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. If Sandro Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Sandro Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacob Seixas was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Sandro Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Jacob Seixas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Guimarães. Sandro Azevedos short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Jacob Seixas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 91 in the game by Sandro Azevedo from a close distance when the talented Jacob Seixas managed to make a qualified save. A.D.PEDROSO's players were relieved.
