The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Cândido Torres successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 16 minutes into the match, Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos's goalkeeper Cândido Torres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emílio Machado. Cândido Torres came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by G D Idanha's Lennart Johansson. But to his dismay, Lennart Johansson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Emílio Machado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Cândido Torres made a huge save. Anton Ibi kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. When Mariano Cordeiro fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos's protests and gave Mariano Cordeiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the game's 25th minute G D Idanha's Celso Vilaça took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Cândido Torres and thus the score was 3-0. After a rather tough play, Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos's Adi Adib got a free kick in the 30th minute. Cândido Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lennart Johansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Ibi in the 35th minute of play forced G D Idanha's goalkeeper Silvano Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emílio Machado to make the kick off. Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. In the 77th minute Emanuel Brandão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. G D Idanha's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Celso Vilaça in the 89th minute. A well done corner resulted in Burak Fino drilling the ball in to score 8-0 behind Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos's goalkeeper. In the 92nd minute Rúben Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cândido Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Rúben Neves put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Cândido Torres. Cândido Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rúben Neves in the 96th minute of the match. When G D Idanha's Rúben Neves in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos's goalie prevented a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. G D Idanha had played much better football throughout.
