Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Albert Karapetkov started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, António Viegas managed to get in a good position for a shot. União Caparica's supporters rose to their feet, but António Viegas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aziz Hicab breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gimonde's Aziz Hicab played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Viegas in the 4th minute of play. Albert Karapetkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aziz Hicab having to interfere. If Albert Karapetkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sidónio Maltez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Sales in the 15th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Zeferino Avelar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aziz Hicab. Gimonde's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zeferino Avelar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 23 minutes into the match, União Caparica's goalkeeper Sidónio Maltez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo Sales. After 24 minutes of play, União Caparica's Artur Horta made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aziz Hicab was left in no man's land by his defense there! 27 minutes into the match, Gimonde's goal looked a bit too open when Zeferino Avelar came free, but Aziz Hicab reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Horta in the 28th minute of play forced Gimonde's goalkeeper Aziz Hicab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Artur Horta notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Gimonde's Aziz Hicab. Aziz Hicab was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. União Caparica's Sidónio Maltez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save União Caparica from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute, Vicente Delgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the game, União Caparica's Artur Horta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aziz Hicab made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Albert Karapetkov might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aziz Hicab. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albert Karapetkov ran back to his position shaking his head. Aziz Hicab showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Horta in the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugo Sales to make the kick off. Aziz Hicab showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Horta, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Artur Horta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Aziz Hicab tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artur Horta scored 0-6 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aziz Hicab, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Albert Karapetkov kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aziz Hicab. That made the score 0-7 in the 58 minute of play. The supporters of Gimonde booed when União Caparica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Pais didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hugo Sales might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sidónio Maltez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hugo Sales ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, União Caparica's António Viegas got a free kick in the 68th minute. Albert Karapetkov received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aziz Hicab came out and tried to block the shot, but Albert Karapetkov slotted it home off the left post making it 0-9 in the 76th minute. In the 82nd minute, Albert Karapetkov reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aziz Hicab. The goal made the score 0-10. Artur Horta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aziz Hicab read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After some careless play in the União Caparica defense, Valério Oliveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sidónio Maltez. The União Caparica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sidónio Maltez should have stopped the shot. União Caparica's Albert Karapetkov got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Albert Karapetkov put it in 1-11 from a short distance just to the right of Aziz Hicab. União Caparica's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
