Stevie Whittakers short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Barry Tully to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Barry Tully made an important save on a dangerous shot by Verne Harkness in the 21st minute. Trev Gardener struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Orson Boyd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shaftesbury FC. Christian Beasley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orson Boyd having to interfere. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Shaftesbury FC's goalkeeper Barry Tully, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 57thth minute of the game Dion Smikle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shaftesbury FC's Barry Tully was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stevie Whittaker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Barry Tully read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play.
