When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ollie Stockdale made a kick off. If Neil Slade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Blackburn United's goal looked a bit too open when Neil Slade came free, but Philip Kendall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, Seb Wheeler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A throw-in in the 62nd minute of the game was made by Grant Shipperley with Neil Slade as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Blackburn United's Sidney Sawyer was substituted for Lucero Popovich. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ollie Stockdale in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Philip Kendall saved Blackburn United from getting behind. South Shields's Vince Piercy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seb Wheeler in the 75th minute of play. 赵震坚 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Blackburn United booed when South Shields was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position.
