After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Max Budge managed to get in a good position for a shot. Team Pogba - Back soon's supporters rose to their feet, but Max Budge was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vince Piercy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the match, Mickey Hammett had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vince Piercy. South Shields's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mickey Hammett was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Mickey Hammett scored 0-3 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vince Piercy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute, Rufus Holland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Piers Harris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ollie Stockdale in the 28th minute of play. Julian Alcock's late challenge caught a South Shields's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 31st minute of the match, Ollie Stockdale tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Piers Harris saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. South Shields's Vince Piercy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Max Budge in the 33rd minute of play. Vince Piercy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mickey Hammett went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in South Shields's zone, Max Budge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vince Piercy came out of the goal and Max Budge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adrian Wildman during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Team Pogba - Back soon booed when South Shields was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Wildman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vince Piercy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amad Traore in the 45th minute of the match. 49 minutes into the match, Mickey Hammett had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vince Piercy. South Shields's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mickey Hammett was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After the first half Team Pogba - Back soon were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

South Shields's Vince Piercy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save South Shields from getting a goal against them. If Max Budge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vince Piercy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Budge in the 67th minute of play. Mickey Hammett kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Team Pogba - Back soon made a substitution. Conal Mellon replaced Andre Ridgeway. Cliff Stockdale took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Piers Harris. Team Pogba - Back soon's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 76th minute, Richard Gavan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Team Pogba - Back soon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Vince Piercy was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Max Budge capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Max Budge really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. In the 83rd minute Max Budge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vince Piercy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th match minute, Team Pogba - Back soon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Owen Martin to maneuver through the defense. If Max Budge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 97 minutes of play, Team Pogba - Back soon's Owen Martin made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vince Piercy was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded Team Pogba - Back soon left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than South Shields.
