Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Eddie Smedfeldt got the match started through his kick off. Petter Sikström struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Nicklas Jonsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tandsbyn IK. When Eddie Smedfeldt came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Forsbacka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eddie Smedfeldt couldn't finish the play. Nicklas Jonsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sune Sundström in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Forsbacka's Jarl Bergqvist got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Tandsbyn IK's goal looked a bit too open when Eddie Smedfeldt came free, but Henric Engström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 29 played minutes Tandsbyn IK got a freekick which was hit by Christer Nordström. Petter Sikström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Nicklas Jonsson made a huge save. 37 minutes into the match, Tandsbyn IK's Sune Sundström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicklas Jonsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddie Smedfeldt in the 41st minute of play forced Tandsbyn IK's goalkeeper Henric Engström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Christer Nordström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Forsbacka's Einar Finman, in the 43rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Forsbacka. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sune Sundström to strike the kick off in the second half. Edwin Öberg's late challenge caught a Forsbacka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edwin Öberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes Tandsbyn IK got a freekick which was hit by Edwin Öberg. A collision led to Forsbacka getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Philip Käcker hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petter Sikström in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicklas Jonsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 69 minutes, Petter Sikström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tandsbyn IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petter Sikström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sune Sundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eddie Smedfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Forsbacka's zone, Petter Sikström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicklas Jonsson came out of the goal and Petter Sikström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Tandsbyn IK manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Forsbacka to win.
