Spectators: 7230 (Terracing: 5424, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) 5 minutes into the match, Everöd's goalkeeper Aron Lindgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Holger Jespersson. Vårgårda's Holger Jespersson suffered a sore foot after 7 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Mårten Dahlkvist fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Everöd's protests and gave Mårten Dahlkvist a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Everöd:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vårgårda:s goal. Erling Godholm walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When Tommy Jonsson came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Vårgårda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommy Jonsson couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Everöd's Mathias Stor got a free kick in the 12th minute. Aron Lindgren was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Tommy Jonsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tommy Jonsson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Aron Lindgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Jonsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Aron Lindgren was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Tommy Jonsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tommy Jonsson really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Everöd's zone, Tommy Jonsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aron Lindgren came out of the goal and Tommy Jonsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 38 played minutes Vårgårda got a freekick which was hit by Bror Palmquist. Tommy Jonsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aron Lindgren having to interfere. If Tommy Jonsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mathias Stor to strike the kick off in the second half. Aron Lindgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Jonsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The audience was convinced that Bror Palmquist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aron Lindgren was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. After 54 minutes of play, Vårgårda's Tommy Jonsson made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aron Lindgren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tommy Jonsson struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Aron Lindgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vårgårda. Tommy Jonsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aron Lindgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Jonsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Tommy Jonsson struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Aron Lindgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vårgårda. Aron Lindgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommy Jonsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommy Jonsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Aron Lindgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torsten Markusson took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aron Lindgren. Aron Lindgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 88th minute, Torsten Markusson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Jonsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aron Lindgren having to interfere.
