Spectators: 7602 (Terracing: 5742, Seating: 1760, VIP seats: 100) Timmernabben RK's Jack Hammarbäck started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 2 minutes, Edwin Blom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taraps IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edwin Blom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 4th play minutes Stig-Åke Söderström shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Tom Sandwall and just under the crossbar into goal. A sloppy throw-in by Folke Björkman in the 8th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Taraps IF's Sebastian Öberg. 8 minutes into the match, Taraps IF's Stig-Åke Söderström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tom Sandwall narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stig-Åke Söderström might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tom Sandwall. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stig-Åke Söderström ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Timmernabben RK getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Börje Bogren hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Timmernabben RK's Folke Björkman got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Frank Kvick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jack Hammarbäck in the 27th minute of the match. Edvin Wallgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Frank Kvick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Taraps IF's Frank Kvick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Hammarbäck in the 32nd minute of play. Stig-Åke Söderström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tom Sandwall having to make a save. In the 38th minute of the match Pelle Vestlund sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Kvick skillfully saved the ball. Folke Björkman's late challenge caught a Taraps IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Folke Björkman helped the player get up and apologised. Tommy Söderqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Sandwall having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Sebastian Öberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 49 played minutes, Timmernabben RK's Folke Björkman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Frank Kvick came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Timmernabben RK reached it. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stig-Åke Söderström made a kick off. Tom Sandwall came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Taraps IF's Stig-Åke Söderström. But to his dismay, Stig-Åke Söderström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 60th minute, Björn Fribäck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tom Sandwall was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The Taraps IF fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Taraps IF's Stig-Åke Söderström looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stig-Åke Söderström in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tom Sandwall saved Timmernabben RK from getting behind. Frank Kvick made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edvin Wallgren in the 72nd minute. When Charles Beckeman came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Taraps IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles Beckeman couldn't finish the play. After 75 minutes, Mårten Stenqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Timmernabben RK and the Taraps IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute, Mårten Stenqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the game, Stig-Åke Söderström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Tom Sandwall was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Björn Fribäck took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tom Sandwall. Tom Sandwall dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. When Stig-Åke Söderström came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Taraps IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig-Åke Söderström couldn't finish the play. Taraps IF's Frank Kvick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Villiam Rang in the 96th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Taraps IF had played much better football throughout.
