Gunnar Lundhberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Björn Edström, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Gysinge's goal looked a bit too open when Osvald Sillén came free, but Gunnar Lundhberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Olov Ekberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Bureå IFK booed when Gysinge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Kvarnström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute of the match Ian Billström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gunnar Lundhberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

Gustaf Kellman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olov Ekberg in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute Olov Ekberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaf Kellman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Björn Lindström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gysinge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bureå IFK the free kick. Gunnar Lundhberg acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 65th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Knut Abrahamsson. After 67 minutes of play, Gysinge's Olov Ekberg made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustaf Kellman was left in no man's land by his defense there! 71 minutes into the match, Björn Edström notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Gysinge's Gunnar Lundhberg. Gunnar Lundhberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gunnar Lundhberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osvald Sillén in the 78th minute. In the 82nd minute, Joseph Kvarnström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gunnar Lundhberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kasper Anundsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
